Typhoid
fever, also known as Salmonella typhi or Salmonella enterica serotype Typhi, is
a bacterial infection caused by Salmonella typhi. Typhoid fever is usually

for eradicating typhoid because typhoid vaccines are beneficial in two ways:
one, by providing protection to vaccinated individuals and two, by indirectly
providing herd immunity to unvaccinated individuals when vaccination is carried
out on a large scale.
